The Big One w/ guest Robbie Augspurger

June 28 @ 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$9 – $17

Portland, are you prepared for The Big One???

The Big One is a fully improvised show featuring a special guest monologist telling true stories from their own lives, and the performers use them as inspiration to make up scenes on the spot.

June 28th’s special guest storyteller is Robbie Augspurger! He’ll be sharing a slideshow of some of his favorite portraits and the stories behind them to inspire the evening’s comedy.

Robbie Augspurger is a Portland, Oregon-based photographer known for his humorous and retro-inspired portraits that look like they were pulled from a bygone era. Augspurger’s portraits often include glamorous headshots and nostalgic setups, which he describes as creating what he wishes existed.

His work spans various projects, including fashion shoots, music videos, and commercial campaigns, notably Balenciaga, Old Spice, Adidas and has directed several music videos for bands like Wampire, Blitzen Trapper and Heatwarmer. Augspurger is also involved in musical projects under the moniker Ozarks and co-creates quirky projects like Video Pizza. He hosts B-Movie Bingo, a monthly VHS-based interactive movie event at the Hollywood Theatre.

Every month features a special guest storyteller who is shaking things up in Portland alongside our rotating cast of Portland’s top improvisers, The Kickstand CVLT!
