Welcome to the only improv studio in PDX founded and run by a still-working actor and improviser with 30+ years of on-stage and on-screen experience.
Our Foundation series is geared towards students who are new to improvisation and those looking to come back and re-learn the important basics. This series welcomes people from all backgrounds, both creative and non-creative, so no acting or performing skills are ever required; just a desire to have fun, trust your instincts, and learn new ways to communicate and collaborate!

Our joyous & engaging classes are designed for anyone new to the practice of improvisation and for those wishing to re-learn or deepen their practice of the art form’s basics. We’ll learn about:

Why Take Classes With Us?
Our studio is founded on the belief that student progress only comes from providing clear instruction and feedback. We not only want our students to learn the core skills of improvisation, but we also want them to improve their skills over their time with us. Because of that, we offer learning opportunities that students won’t find anywhere else.
All of our students will receive the following:
- A safe, nurturing, and supportive environment
- 10 students max per class, so each gets lots of attention
- We offer flexible class options so students can purchase the number of classes that suits their schedule
- Coaching and check-ins during & after each game to help make sure you’ve understood the breakthroughs
- Blackboard discussions during class, when necessary, to help visual and analytical learners
- Closing every class with students recognising their own wins
- Receiving highly personalised notes via email from your teacher, celebrating your wins during the class series & recommending skills to work on when you come back for another class with us.
- Participating – for those who wish! – in our student showcases
- Receiving and reviewing vids & pics from our showcase as keepsakes and learning tools
