SUMMARY:Take Me To Your Leader: The Seoul of a Clown
DESCRIPTION:A one-clown kaleidoscope of beauty\, tradition\, and tyranny — where a pansori diva\, a K-beauty fanatic\, and a self-proclaimed dictator collide in a hilarious search for identity and power. \nIn Take Me to Your Leader: The Seoul of a Clown\, beauty\, ritual\, and absurdity collide in a one-clown fever dream. From the haunting rhythms of pansori to the fluorescent glow of a K-beauty altar\, Monel Chang (aka Moldy Melon) shape shifts through characters both divine and deranged: a folk diva\, a skincare-obsessed disciple\, and a dictator throwing themself a birthday party. \nPart satire\, part spiritual exorcism\, and entirely clown\, this genre-defying solo performance unpacks the obsessions that bind us — from perfection and purity to power and control. With live sound\, ritual gesture\, and a face full of toner\, The Seoul of a Clown invites audiences into a surreal search for identity\, laughter\, and liberation.

SUMMARY:Sketch Coven
DESCRIPTION:Sketch Coven is a meetup and workshop for sketch comedians. Each month\, we get together at Kickstand Comedy to read scripts in progress\, give supportive feedback\, and help develop a fun\, vibrant sketch community here in Portland. \nClick to sign up as a writer\, actor\, or just to observe and meet new people. \nWriters bring drafts of their work for the group\, including actors and acting-curious improvisers\, to table read. Facilitators will provide feedback\, then open discussion. \n\nWhether you have a completed script\, a rough draft\, or just a loose concept you’d like to flesh out\, Sketch Coven is a place to develop your sketch skills – don’t be shy!\n\nWe prioritize scripts from first timers and revised drafts of sketches we’ve read at previous meetings. Expect to only have one script read\, but feel free to bring more. We’ll do our best to get through as many as we can in the time we have. \nEvery 4th Saturday of the month. \nSuggested donation is $10 to support this and other Kickstand programs. Payment/ticket purchase is not required to attend\, but please be sure to RSVP with your info.\n\nDISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A SKETCH CLASS OR SHOW. While we want this to be a constructive experience for everyone\, Sketch Coven doesn’t teach a set curriculum. If you’re looking to learn the basics of sketch writing\, we recommend you take Kickstand’s classes
