DESCRIPTION:A late night art/food/comedy variety show where anything goes… semi-improvised\, 100% chaotic \nPicture this… it’s 10pm\, you’re hungry\, your joy has been stripped away from you by the relentlessness that is life\, you go to the fridge to mainline shredded cheese straight from the bag and suddenly you’re transported to NIGHT CHEESE—an art/food/comedy variety show filled with general weirdness where anything goes. \nEach episode\, your hosts Aaron\, Lauren\, and Ghost Host are joined by a local artist who we interview about their practice and inspirations. What starts as your normal late night talk show\, slowly devolves into a night of chaos. From live Tindering and hair-dyeing\, to ceramics demos with cheese\, every Night Cheese strictly follows no format whatsoever. \nThis episode’s theme is ~ Witchkraft ~ Join the Night Cheese crew as we prep for spooky season\, making sure everything is absolutely *perfect* by the time the Big Day™️ rolls around. We are extremely excited to be joined by Nathalie Owen FitzSimons\, a Horror Scholar\, Synthesist\, Theatre Maker\, and Mad Scientist. She’ll be performing one of her routines and dropping some mad knowledge about horror. Uncle Blade will be there to make sure we stay on track and—who knows—some surprise guests might even make an appearance. \nDon’t be a square and say that 10pm is too late for a show in Portland. Grow up. \nFollow @nightcheesepdx for show updates \n—————————————————————- \nPraise for Night Cheese 🌌🧀: \n“This was the most Portland thing I did while I was in town” – some guy from San Francisco at our Summerween episode back in 2018\, didn’t catch his name but he was wearing a shirt with bacon and eggs on it. \n“What did I just watch?” – friend from art school who came to Nothing But Jeff. \n“My wife and I loved the show\, can we take a pic with you?” – two extremely well-dressed people from Seattle who looked pissed off the whole show but turned out they were actually having the time of their lives at Christmas in July in December.
