SUMMARY:Beginner Improv Classes
DESCRIPTION:Our Foundation series is designed for anyone new to the practice of improvisation and for those wishing to re-learn or deepen their practice of the art form’s basics. We welcome people from all backgrounds\, both creative and non-creative\, so no acting or performing skills are ever required: just a desire to have fun\, trust your instincts\, and learn! \n\nStudents should expect to learn: \n\n\n👂🏼New ways of listening\n🎁 The gifts of staying in the moment\n📚 Telling spontaneous stories with others\n👣 Thinking on our feet & trusting our instincts\n👥 Quickly collaborating with others\n👀 Identifying & using non-verbal communication\n💪🏼 Discovering our strengths\n\nWhy Take Classes With Us?\n\nChange Through Play’s studio is founded on the belief that student progress only comes from providing clear instruction and feedback. We not only want our students to learn the core skills of improvisation\, but we also want them to IMPROVE over their time with us. Because of that\, we offer learning opportunities that students won’t find anywhere else\, including: \n\n\nA safe\, nurturing\, and supportive environment\n10 students max per class\, so each gets lots of attention\nCoaching and check-ins throughout each class\nBlackboard discussions\, to help visual and analytical learners\nClosing every class with students recognizing their own wins\nReceiving highly personalized notes from your teacher\, celebrating your wins during the class series & recommending skills to work on when you come back for another class with us.\nParticipating – for those who wish! – in our student showcases\nReceiving and reviewing vids & pics from our showcase as keepsakes and learning tools
